Becoming Mrs. Jones

My creative journey as a designer started back in 2012 when I began designing custom costumes and festive wear. These outfits were all made to order taking inspiration from themes and colors schemes dictated by my clients as well as my own special twist. Mermaids by far were my favorite thing to create as well as embellishing any outfit with ample jewels and rhinestones.

I pursued this venture up until 2016 when the demands of completing my bachelors and subsequent masters in science increasingly to became my primary focus. After getting engaged into 2018, I became overwhelmed with inspiration to design my own wedding dress and this event rekindled my passions for sewing & design.

For my wedding day, I ended up making a full length mermaid-styled gown with a matching veil plus a short party dress to wear for the reception. Unfortunately our original plans went awry with the 2020 pandemic, so I opted to wear my shorter dress for the ceremony and save my official gown for the later vow renewal.

Throughout this process, my creative side was yearning to not be put aside once more and I came to the realization Mrs. Jones Bridal was the next step on my creative journey. Now I have made it my goal to share my gift with other brides looking to create a custom gown of their dreams.
